Great is our Lord and abundant in power;
His understanding is beyond measure.
~ Psalm 147:5
What a comfort to me in my distress this morning. Our Lord's power is greater than any force that can come against me and his understanding of my situation outstrips my own. No matter what I am facing, no matter how painfull or how perplexing, God is sovereign over my life. Do I have pain? Yes. Do I have confusion? Yes. Are they greater than the God who cares for me? No.
O Lord, grant me the rest of trusting in your goodness, power and wisdom. Amen.
